Finally able to update the blogs.... Finally stopping this annoying "writers block" excuse to not put down some words. Whether those words are meant for a book or have no meaning at all, it does not matter. I have to write, I have to do the things that I am most passionate about in life.
So... life update just really quickly: got married, moved to a new town, got a dog. Of course all of these things will reflect in my writing, especially the marriage part. My husband is my biggest supporter of my writing. He is the best when it comes to pushing me towards the things I really want to do. So he will most definantly be an impact in everything I write from now on.
I just found an article today online about a local magazine that lets local writers submit short articles, I am contemplating submitting something. I am just not so sure what yet. I also realized today that my blogs always seem short, and that I am somewhat better at writing short works rather than long drawn out ones.
Maybe this is the reason my novel has never been finished, and why it sits idly collecting dust rather than more words. I am worried that I may never finish it, but now that I have my moxy back.... Maybe, just maybe I can muster the courage and faith to finish a great book. I do have rather large plans for that book, if and when I finish it. The characters have been playing out their lives in my head for about three years now, the story has changed several times as the plot thickens like jello left over night. (Ha, just had to add a little visual aid.)
Random change of subject as I draw a blank, but want to continue practicing getting words on paper (metaphorically speaking). I suck at technology. I bought a computer game today, I have never been much of a gamer, but I thought that I might give it a try. The problem isn't with the game though. The problem is that I can not seem to install the game. I also can not figure out what the problem is. This will all be solved tomorrow when I return the game to the store, because I feel like it was a foolish idea to try something new. I am sure that many people have experienced that feeling before, although they probably did not experience it due to a computer game.
Wow, feeling a bit more productive today then I did yesterday when it comes to my writing. I can not actually remember the last time I blogged, much less wrote. I know that I was writing poetry a few weeks ago, but I am not sure where that went. And even that writing was completely spur of the moment, probably jotted down on a random napkin or scratch piece of paper.
Having a bunch of random thoughts running out of my head and into the computer's keyboard is a strange yet familiar feeling which I miss greatly. I am very glad I took a moment just to update, just to acknowledge words on a page, whether that be web based or paper.
